What we collect and why
Contact form
When you send a message we store the topic, your name, your email address, your company and budget range if you give them, and your message. We use them to reply and to prepare a proposal if you ask for one.
Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Product waitlists
When you join the waitlist for Anthem / Software Factory or Anthem / Email Brain we store the product, your name, your email address and the optional note you add. We use them only to tell you about that product's launch and early access.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we will remove you from the list.
Technical data sent with a form
To protect the forms against spam and abuse we also store, with each submission, a one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself), the country your request came from, and for contact messages the name and version of your browser.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Visitor statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, which websites send visitors to us, and how fast pages load. It records the page, the referring website, the browser and device type and the country. It does not use cookies or local storage, does not identify you or follow you across websites, and we cannot see who an individual visitor is.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used and improving it (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Emails
If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply, on the same legal bases as the contact form.
Service providers
We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with the providers that run this website for us:
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the website and stores form submissions. It also protects the site against attacks and automated traffic, provides our cookie-free visitor statistics, and runs Cloudflare Turnstile, the "I am not a robot" check on our forms. To do this Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical information about your browser and device. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
- Our email provider processes the emails we send and receive.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, for example to a court or public authority.
How long we keep data
- Contact messages: up to 24 months after our last exchange. If we start working together, the related records are kept for as long as Greek tax and commercial law requires.
- Waitlist entries: until the product launches and for up to 12 months after, or until you ask to be removed, whichever comes first.
- Technical data: kept together with the submission it belongs to, and deleted with it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, email info@codinganthology.com. We reply within one month.
You can also complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr), Kifissias 1-3, 11523 Athens, Greece.
Security
The website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Submissions are stored in a database that only we can access, and we never store IP addresses in readable form.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. For other questions, see our legal information or terms of use.
